I wouldn't say that it's a bad school, some students turn out great results when they really try and put in the effort, but most forget about that... The students tend to get slightly out of hand and I think the teachers have a hard time controlling them, but you need to remember that it is a deprived school, I wouldn't want to go there, but each to their own... Some students do really well and move on to do degrees in university! I prefer the minster school, but it's the parents choice! Don't let your kids choose!if you're even slightly uneasy about a school, then don't choose it! My daughter wanted to go to Colonel Frank Seely but I wanted her to go to Southwell Minster and now she thanks me for not letting her go as her old 'friends' are now hanging out on the park swearing to each other and getting in all kinds of trouble! But if you're certain that you LOVE the school then pick it! 100% :-)
this school is awful. would not use again
In my opinion it is a great school with great staff, and the current headtecher has made the school alot better, but the only problem I have is that the new school uniform is quite expensive.
This school is terrible for parking. They have a bus bay but don't use it for visiting children, instead they let buses park across from my drive. In fact they have parked across my drive blocking me in. I have reported this to the school and nothing has happened to sort this dangerous problem out. I'm a disabled driver and have doctors appointments and hospital appointment to attend. Bus bay is for buses if other schools have bus bays they use them so I carnt see why this school doesn't use theirs IT IS WHAT IT'S FOR TO BE USED BY BUSES.
